Beginning Sunday, June 14, we will move to a summer schedule of two services at 9 & 11 AM.

Over the past three years, God has blessed us with tremendous growth, and our three-service schedule has helped us make room for many people to encounter Jesus. As we enter the summer months, we believe this temporary adjustment is the right step for our church family for several reasons.

First, we are excited to be sending approximately 40 people to help launch our new church plant in Waco. Church planting has always been part of God’s call on Grace, and we are honored to release and support these families as they help establish a life-giving church in another community. This Sunday, we will be praying for those making this transition to Waco. Please join us as we pray and encourage them. You may even want to bring a note or two to share with any the Lord places on your heart.

Second, summer naturally brings vacations, travel, and changing schedules. Moving to two services helps lighten the load on the many volunteers who faithfully serve each week in areas such as Kingdom Kids, Worship, Parking, Safety, and many other teams. This allows our teams to continue serving with excellence while also enjoying needed rest and time with their families.

Finally, we’re looking forward to something that often happens when we move to two services: reconnecting with people we don’t normally see. Since many Life Groups take a break during the summer, this creates opportunities to worship alongside friends and church family members who usually attend a different service.

As we fully expect the 11:00 AM service to be our fullest service, those with flexible schedules may want to consider attending the 9:00 AM service when possible.

For those who serve, your updated serving times and schedules have already been adjusted in Planning Center.

Thank you for being such a faithful church family. We are grateful for all God is doing at Grace, and we look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday as we begin this new summer schedule together.

Looking forward to being together.

With boldness and faith,

Pastor Brandon Heckler
