Grace Family,

On Monday, we begin our three days of fasting. As we discussed Sunday, this is much greater than abstaining from food… it’s an opportunity to get close to our teacher, Jesus, and have His grace change our lives. You can learn more about this from this weekend’s message. As we start this fast, I also encourage you to read this letter and fill out the form to let us know what you are praying for during this time of focus on the Lord.

Today, as a group, we will pray for God’s preparation of hearts. This starts with us. So, as you ask for God’s grace to be at work, be prepared for God to reveal areas that he wants to weed out to make room for His work. This can be sins that need to be repented, activities that need to be laid aside, or even literal things that He wants you to release.

To make room for God’s work, we often have to let go of something else… and it’s ALWAYS worth it!

This is also a good prayer for others who need God’s movement in their life. “God, would You prepare ______________ for the work you have in store for them? May they hear you clearly as you get ready to move!” Fasting is a time to pray passionately, so go for it!

For a bonus teaching on God’s preparation, check out this message from the series  “Immersed in His Presence.” It’ll encourage you!
